TrakArt Pops Orchestra

In 2017, the non-profit organization TrakArt realized that an orchestra should be created and established in Limassol, Cyprus. The orchestra was established with the intention to develop and promote the career of many talented professional musicians that are returning to our city, and also, to act as an innovative platform, encouraging a creative dialogue between musicians and artists.

In 2020, the Board of Directors realized that even more should be made for art and culture, since the pandemic had a sudden and substantial impact on the arts and cultural events. Thus, the summer of 2020 initiates a new collaboration, with the conductor Aris Antoniadis, who is now the permanent conductor and artistic director of TrakArt Pops Orchestra.

The first official performance and presentation of TrakArt Pops Orchestra took place in October 2021. This first performance entitled “Kyprion Erga”, was dedicated to 12 Cypriot composers, with protagonists the Cypriot talented musicians of the TrakArt Pops Orchestra along with the singers Michalis Hadjiyiannis and Costas Hadjichristodoulou.

After the successful performances of the winter of 2021 and concerts that followed in 2022, the orchestra began planning new collaborations and new programs for the future aiming high.
